Draper Temple Open House

Today was a first for me... I was able to tour a Temple before being dedicated.  The Draper Temple is now complete and open for "silent tours".  I'll get to that in a minute.  I have never had the opportunity of touring a temple before today and what a special experience.  The tour is even family friendly.  I must admit that taking 5 kids--all being boys I was a bit concerned how they would handle the "silent tour" and being reverent longer than 5 minutes.  They totally IMPRESSED me!!!!  Before entering the Temple there was a sign that read something along the lines of, please remain reverent while in the Temple.  I knelt down beside my "big boys" and told them that this sign says that it is very important that we are very reverent because this is Heavenly Father's house---or that man right there will make us leave the Temple.  Trying not to smile or laugh---I stood up and we walked in and one by one I saw Cody, Steven and Luke fold their arms and walk past the "MAN".  The folding of the arms didn't last the entire tour but they were reverent and they LOVED being in such a sacred, special place.
This is the Draper Temple
My "big boys" Steven, Cody and Luke.
Dan was working--thank goodness we had company--My sister and her hubby came and our friends Mary and Juan Carlos and their family---they helped so much---I don't think I could have gone without them.  But here we are--Steven, Me Cody, Luke, Jack and Kyle!  If you get a chance you have to go to the open house--I believe it goes through March!  It really is such an experience---  The spirit was so strong--I loved being in the sealing room with my boys knowing that they are mine for ETERNITY!!! What a blessing it is to have Temples!!!

I can't believe you took the kids! I would never think to take ours. I don't know when we will go our ward has tickets for Feb 13 and 14 and we will be gone so we need to find our own time. I am excited to go though.
