HIP HIP HOORAY!!!!

So my sweet baby Jack took a bottle yesterday.  Dan and I decided that we would try it and see how he did.  I was a wreck.  I really did not think I was emotionally ready to take the plunge. But once reality set in, I realized that we could at least try and see how it goes.  Well at the beginning of the day he didn't do very well.  He would only drink an ounce or so.  But by the end of the day and when it was time to go to bed he drank 7 ounces from the bottle!!!!!  Hip Hip Hooray!!!  (I did nurse him in the middle of the night though) And then this morning for his morning nap he drank 5 1/2 ounces again from the bottle.  I am so excited.  The  best part I feel no guilt what so ever.  (which is great because yesterday I could not stop crying).  Another thing that is wonderful about Jack taking a bottle is that I do not have to be the one to always feed him.  Don't get me wrong I love him dearly, but a bit of freedom is also great!!!

Yahoo for Jack! I can totally relate. As much as I was a total hippie and nursed way too long, I probably would have enjoyed a little break now and then with the bottle. Good Job, Jack and Mommy! Hang in there. Sometimes they regress when they feel sick. Keep him well, and he'll keep adjusting and before long, you'll be through the night! AWESOME JOB!

Yeah for Stephanie!!! Freedom finally. I can't wait my self. Nursing is so much easier but Alex has to have a bottle at least once a day so I don't have another Jack. We need to get together soon, maybe at your house so I can see your new room. Let me know.

YEAH! I love breastfeeding but there is a sense of freedom when you can have the baby take a bottle. There is hope. Way to go Jack!
