My sister Kim came over this afternoon to hang out for a bit and see the boys.
After she left Cody (5) wondered why Kim came over in the middle of the day, and what she does during the day?! I explained that Kim was in school but her semester had ended so she was on her summer break. Cody was interested and asked why she went to school? Is she in college? Or is she in Graduate School? (I've trained my children that after college, they also have to go to graduate school. haha) I explained that she was in a special program so that she can be a nurse. This really caught his attention and his reply was---

Cody: "Oh mom that's great that Kimmy wants to be a nurse like you!"
Me: I really didn't get it. I said, "sweetie, I'm not a nurse."
Cody: "Yea you are--you nursed Kyle and Jack, that makes you a nurse too"
Me: hahahahahahahaha
I then had to explain that being a nurse, working at the hospital was totally different than nursing a baby!!!

Kids really do say the funniest things. What have your kids said to you that had you laughing all day???

That is really funny. You're kids sound adorable. It's also an appropriate posting for May 6th as that is nurse's day and the beginning of nurses week.
Maisy asked me a couple of Sunday's ago if it was "Fast Food Sunday". She couldn't remember fast Sunday.
Ha ha ha ha! That is priceless! I wish I could think of anything good at all, but I'm sure I'll think of something at 4 a.m.
That's a good one. I'll have to let my kids know I have my nursing degree too! ;) Kids are too funny!
Oh my gosh, that is the CUTEST thing EVER! I miss those boys...give them all hugs and kisses from me! Hope to see you soon!
Such a cute story. I need to be better at writing down the things my kids say. After watching me get treats and flowers for mother's day, Alyssa said, "Mom, when is it going to be little sister's day?" I guess I should mark a day on the calendar just for her!!
That is the cutest thing I have ever heard!! That made me laugh. Cody is right, you are the nursing queen. You have a nursing degree and didn't even know it!
Steph - a couple of things...can we stay at your house in June, the 17th and 18th?
Also...Elli has decided to be a pill and doesn't want to take naps...HELP! She had a very upset tummy last night and was up screaming for hours because she had so much gas. She's sleeping now for a nap...but I need help! You're the best sleeper teacher. :)
Cody is too funny!! I'll get that other nursing degree in a couple years haha... :)
