Do You Ever?????

Do you ever hear a conversation

and think something totally different

than what the person actually said??

This happens to me all the time!!

But this time it happened to Cody!

In June I took the kids to California.

Between Reno and Tahoe they are doing

MAJOR road construction- I don't know about you,

but barricades on both sides of the road scare me!

Especially where there is NO room for driving error!

Since I was driving alone with my kids

I was sweating bullets! But we survived!

Well in August when we went to California

to visit family again

BUT this time in a HUGE motorhome--

I got to worrying about the BARRICADES

for our drive home!

I had a conversation with my mom that went something like this...

Me: Mom do you know if they are

still doing road construction in the Tahoe area??

Mom: Not sure, why?

Me: Well in June I was totally freaked out, the road

was so bad-- It was one lane, there were barricades

on my left and barricades on my right,

I totally thought we were going to die!

Cody was listening intently---and he chimed in

TOTALLY freaked out saying--

Cody: What, REAL BEAR CAVES!!!!???

My mom and I BURST into laughter!!

It was the funniest thing, you should have seen the look on his face!

Then I had to explain--

Not BEAR CAVES

BARRICADES!!!

Can you just imagine what was going

through his head--

"There were Bear Caves on my Left and

Bear Caves on my right--I totally thought

we were going to die!!"

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!

KIDS SAY/THINK THE FUNNIEST THINGS!!!!
