Last week I took the boys and drove all day to California!
Might sound a bit crazy--
but I love California and would go there any time, any way!

Here are Cody, Steven and Luke after an 11 1/2 hour road trip.
I left later than I wanted-- 11:40 am
we got to grandma's at 10:30 ish pm.
LONG DAY!!
Thank goodness my boys are AMAZING road trip takers!!!
We only stopped twice for gas and to use the bathroom!!
My boys ROCK!
We did some fun things while we were there.
My friend Nicole has a farm and invited us out to see the animals and to ride horses!!!
My boys were in 7th heaven!!!

Here's Jack riding their miniature horse.
He was thrilled!!!

Luke petting the HUGE pig!!!!

Kyle, on the other hand didn't really care about seeing the animals.
All he wanted to do was play in horse trough!!!
At the end of the day is was TOTALLY wet!!!

Luke is my HORSE LOVER!!
He was the most excited.
He wanted to help with everything--
Cleaning the horses shoes, brushing the horse, getting the saddle--
and then when it was his turn to ride the horse, the smile on his face was from ear to ear!!!

Steven got his turn to ride too!!!
He was pretty excited when he galloped!!

Jack, I think he's going to follow in Luke's footsteps!
He too LOVED being around the horses.
NOT scared at all!!

Here's Cody and Bailey!
They were riding pretty fast and Cody had a perma-grin!!!

Later Bailey hooked up the miniature horse to a little carriage
and took the boys for a ride!!!

It was a fabulous day!!!
Bailey you are wonderful and the BEST hostess!!
Thank you!!!!!
Later that night several friends from High School
all got together to listen to a band that was from our
graduating class! It was so much fun to see everyone!

Before the party, a few of us got together for dinner!!
Jen Alfson, me, and Nichol Clyde Behrens.
Thanks Jen the dinner was delicious!!!

The Band!!
Lead singer: Forest Wilson
Electric Guitar: Brian Gibbs
Drums: Josh Starkweather

Valerie Silva and myself!
She and I were good friends!!!
I can't wait to see everyone else in 2 years!!
(for my 20 year class reunion)

The next day we went to the beach!!
It was the PERFECT beach day!!!!
Here is a picture of my mom and 6 of her grandsons!!
Mitch and Jill met us there!
It is always so fun to play with cousins!!!

They made sand tunnels, sand castles--

And Cody was even buried to his chin!!!

Can you even imagine how sandy and itchy your body would be after that!!!
But he loved it!!!
Thanks Uncle Mitch and Grandma!!!
It was a great 4 days!!!
I LOVE CALIFORNIA!!!
